Hubs can be divided into two categories according to their materials: steel hubs and alloy hubs.

1. The main advantages of steel hub are simple manufacturing process, relatively low cost and strong metal fatigue resistance. But the shortcomings are also obvious, such as heavy weight, large inertia resistance, poor heat dissipation and so on.

The advantages of alloy hub are light weight, high manufacturing accuracy, high strength, low inertia resistance, strong heat dissipation, good visual effect, etc. The disadvantages are complex manufacturing process and high cost.

Aluminum is the basic material of alloy hub, and manganese, magnesium, chromium, titanium and other metal elements are added appropriately. Compared with steel hub, alloy hub has the characteristics of energy saving, safety and comfort, so more and more automobiles have listed alloy hub as the standard configuration. Now let's look at the three characteristics of alloy hub.

1. The energy-saving alloy hub has the advantages of light weight, high manufacturing accuracy, small deformation and inertia resistance when rotating at high speed, which is conducive to improving the straight-line driving performance of automobiles, reducing the rolling resistance of tires and thus reducing fuel consumption.

2. The thermal conductivity of safe aluminium alloy is three times that of steel, and the heat dissipation effect is very good, which enhances the braking performance, enhances the service life of tires and brake discs, and effectively ensures the safe driving of automobiles.

3. The flat tire with alloy hub for comfort is generally better than the flat tire with ordinary tire in cushioning and shock absorption performance, which greatly improves the comfort of the car when it runs on uneven road or at high speed.
