Wheel bearings (wheel hub bearing) of the routine maintenance methods

4, scrape off bearing, journal and hub cavity of the old grease, cleaning agents and cleaning wheel hub bearing journal and dry with a cloth, wipe with a cloth wheel last cavity.

5, check the wheel bearings (wheel hub bearing) and the bearing ring, found in cracks, fatigue spalling and loose roller bearings and so on, replace the bearing. If you find the bearing seat on the pitting, should replace the bearings.

6, check the bearing diameter and journal with the situation, with the gap should be measured not more than 0.1Omm journal should be perpendicular to the ground in the upper and lower part (where the greatest wear and tear parts) measurements. When combined with the use of the gap exceeds the limit, replace the bearing, so back to normal with the gap. Spikes are not allowed to play in the journal, Ma points to narrow the gap.

7, until all parts have to meet the requirements, will be applied within the bearing grease in the wheel after release.

8, the wheel hub and outer bearing journal mounted on the back, hand to adjust the nut on the shaft, then shaft torque wrench required to tighten the adjusting nut. Tighten the nuts, the wheels should be turning left and right a few times to see if the bearing installation; the other hand, by turning to the right with the bearing and seat. At this time bearing the appropriate tightness, wheels spin freely and not feel the axial clearance.

9, the bearing cavity should pay attention to smear grease, grease should be squeezed into the bearing until the grease from the bearing to the other side of the smoke up. Axis of the hub cavity and smear a thin layer of grease inside the bonnet, so to play the role of rust. Note that the hub cavity do not apply too much grease, otherwise it will affect the cooling and braking.

10, and finally followed by installation of locking pieces, fixed nut, tires, dust cover and decorative covers and other parts.

11, wheel bearings (wheel hub bearing) adjusted after running for some distance (1Okm so), stop checks, swab touch the wheel for the temperature, if the fever is due to the bearing adjusted too tight, should be re-adjusted, bearing the appropriate relaxation tightness.
